We are thrilled to announce that we are looking to grow our team at Host Publications and are currently seeking passionate folks to join our Board for a two-year membership that can be renewed at the end of the term. Description

Location: Austin, TX

Role Description:

      •  Attends and participates in regular board meetings (in-person or virtual)
      • Commit to a minimum donation goal of $500 (can be personal donation or funds raised during the fiscal year)
      • Actively participate in an organizational committee, expected 10 hours per month
      • Participate in-person at Host Publications events including, but not limited to, I Scream Social, tabling opportunities at market and festivals, book launches, and fundraising events

Qualifications:

      • Previous board experience recommended, not required
      • Proximity to Austin is preferred, not required
      • Interest in committee work (finance, sponsorship, programs and development, tabling events, and/or fundraising)
      • Dedication to the arts, the artists who create, and community that supports them
      • An affinity for literature, the arts, artists, and its community
      • Passionate about the mission of Host Publications

Host Publications is an award-winning, women-led independent publisher located in Austin, Texas. Devoted to our mission to elevate historically marginalized writers, Host Publications publishes radical poetry and fiction by emerging LGBTQ+, BIPOC, intersectional feminist, and immigrant voices.

With every book we publish, stage we set, and event we host, we work to empower our community of writers whose work inspires social transformation and creates a new sense of what is possible in writing.
